Special events:
- CONCERT : FRIDAY 7.30 p.m. - Professor Michal
Kaznowski plays 3 Bach cello suites and Gliere's Huit
Morceaux with violin.
- SATURDAY 7.30 p.m. - the augmented Moeran quartet play
Bach, Mozart, Stamitz and Geminiano.
(Tickets for these concerts can be bought on the door -
price £6 for adults and £ 3 for under 16s)
- A Festival evening service - Sunday 6.30pm
Programme of Events
Flower festival in church
- open 11a.m. – 5 p.m.
Guided walk round the
village as Edith Cavell would have known it – leave the
church at 11.30, 12.30, 2.30 or 3.30. On the flat with
some uneven ground – the walk takes about 45 minutes.
A new DVD on the life
and death of Edith Cavell and how her choices challenge
each of us today – this will be premiered at noon on
Saturday and then shown every half hour.
Mme Delheusy who works
at the Edith Cavell hospital in Brussels will make a
presentation at 2pm on Saturday.
The new paperback edition
of the 2010 biography “Edith Cavell” by Diana Souhami
will be on sale.
Directions
From Norwich head towards Ipswich on the
A140. After Harford Bridges turn right towards Mulbarton
on the B1113. In Swardeston (about 2 miles on) pass
through the village and you’ll see signs to the church and
parking on the right.
From the south approach Norwich up the
A140 and after the A47 interchange and Tescos on your
right follow the B1113 to the left towards Swardeston.
There is ample parking with an
easy walk to St Mary’s

Access for those in
wheelchairs - both the church and Cavell Room are
wheelchair accessible.
